On the Fourth of July in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress. People in the American colonies wanted their own nation, and out from under rule by the British Empire and "the last king of America," King George III.

We definitely don't need a new king. Vote Blue, up and down the ballot, and mobilize to be sure a president is elected in November, not a king. And, no matter where everyone is following last week's "debate," this ad is worth a look: 250 Years. Happy Fourth of July!
