The
Democratic National Committee announced four presidential primary
debates in early 2020, one in each of the four early voting states of
Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina.
The 7th Democratic Primary debate was held in Des Moines, Iowa on Tuesday, January 14 and co-hosted by CNN and the Des Moines Register. Six candidates participated: Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders, Tom Steyer and Elizabeth Warren.
The 8th debate will be on February 7 in New Hampshire, co-hosted by ABC News/WMUR-TV and Apple News at St. Anselm College. The 9th debate will be February 19 in Las Vegas, hosted by NBC News/MSNBC and The Nevada Independent. The 10th debate, in Charleston, on February 25, will be hosted by CBS News and the Congressional Black Caucus Institute in partnership with Twitter. Qualification criteria for the February debates have not yet been announced.
