Since passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill in November, there have been a number of positive developments for East-West passenger rail, including a PVPC discussion on the status of East-West Rail and the kickoff of the Northern Tier Passenger Rail Study. The state delegation from western/central MA also met privately to discuss the future of east-west rail. Following the meeting, Rep. Richard Neal noted in a Tweet that "a massive infusion of federal infrastructure funds came to MA" and "we must work together to ensure regional equity."
