SOUTH HADLEY DEMOCRATS WILL HOLD CAUCUS TO SELECT CONVENTION
DELEGATES ON MARCH 12, 2016, 11:00 AM AT SOUTH HADLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY
Registered
Democrats in South Hadley will hold a caucus at the South Hadley Public
Library, which is fully handicap accessible, on Saturday, March 12, 2016,
to elect ten delegates (five male; five female) and three alternates to
the 2016 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Registration begins at
10:30 and closes at 11:00 am, at which time the caucus will begin.
The
caucus is open to all Democrats who were registered in South Hadley as of January 31,
2016, and the South Hadley Democratic Town Committee
warmly welcomes participants. Candidates for delegate and alternate must
consent to nomination in writing and must be present at the caucus. In
the spirit of inclusion, youth, minorities, and people with disabilities
who are not elected as delegates or alternates may apply to be “add-on”
delegates.
This year’s State Democratic Convention
will be held on June 4 at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell.
The South Hadley Democratic
Town Committee meets on a regular basis, and meeting dates, time and
location are posted at the Town website. For more information about the
committee and its work, please contact SH DTC Chair Barbara Magnuson at
